Russia and Former Soviet Union Countries Section of the Society for Territorial Philately
Are you interested in stamps or another philatelic material from Russia by 1917, Soviet Union or all independent countries of former Soviet Union ?
The section was established in 1967 and it works with no interruption until now . Its goal is to associate the collectors of the philatelic material of all the territories and to help them in their activity by publishing journals, handbooks and by lectures of experienced members.
To meet the above goals of our section, we publish twice a year a journal INFORMACE SEKCE (Information of our Section) with many articles written by our most experienced members. Few journals in limited quantity are still aviable.
Our section organized some philatelic exhibitions as well. We organize regularly 2 times in every year a meeting of our members accompanied by interesting lecture and big bourse of philatelic material .
All interested collectors are welcome !
In frame of common Library of Philatelic Handbooks takes our section part in publishing of philatelic handbooks – until now 12 books with theme of our interest have been issued : we are talking about handbooks no. 2, 11, 17, 20, 24, 33, 41, 42, 48, 51, 58 and 63 – for more information click HERE .
Our handbooks no. 48, 51 and 58 received at the philatelic world exhibition Moscow 1997 a large silver medal !
We would like to offer you handbooks no. 11, 17, 20, 24 and 33 (the others have been sold out) and few copies of our journal INFORMACE SEKCE . The value of membership´s dues depends on printing and delivery costs of your journal. Every new member receives for free a Russian – Czech vocabulary with about 2700 words !
